1 Delineate the surfacefor excavation with pickets and string, adding 6 in.to each side. Dig to a depth of 6 in. Plan for a slight drainage slope.

2 Spread a 5-in. thick layer of 0-3/4 in. gravel filler over the entire excavated surface. Compact witha vibrating plate.This foundation shouldnow measure 4 in.in thickness.

3 Over the compacted gravel filler, spread a thicknessof about 1 in. ot stone chips and level with a straight board. Set wood strips here and there on the surface to be levelled to support the board.

4 Place the PAVNAT blocks on the stone chips. Advance by walking on the blocks already laid in place. Once all the blocks have been laid, spread polymeric sand over the surface and work it into the joints until they are completely filled, sweeping in all directions whith a broom.
